Community Guidelines

Make Every Interaction a Respectful One

Please read these Community Engagement Guidelines (“guidelines”) carefully because they are a binding agreement between you (“You”) and Highspot, Inc. (“Highspot,” “US,” or “We”).

Welcome to the Highspot Spark Community! Named after Spark, our annual user conference, the Highspot Spark Community is a place to continue these conversations around enablement, leadership, and Highspot best practices well after the event is over. Join our ecosystem of Highspot customers and partners to connect with peers across the industry, stay up-to-date on the latest and greatest in sales enablement, and bring actionable best practices back to your organization. These guidelines will help us all maintain positive, collaborative online interaction, so all users must adhere to these guidelines at all times, and your access to, and use of, the Highspot Spark Community is also governed by our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

Engage Respectfully

In order for the Highspot Spark Community to be a place that fosters creativity, collaboration, and enablement innovation, it’s important that all users abide by the following guidelines to create an environment that all users feel comfortable participating in.

Please do:

  • Commit to treating each other with kindness and respect. Our Highspot users come from all over the world, so respect others’ opinions by engaging politely and professionally.
  • Follow our tone and voice. The Highspot Spark Community is a place to collaborate, learn, and experiment to drive sales enablement forward and help fellow practitioners. Please keep a collaborative and approachable voice throughout community interactions.
  • Be authentic. We highly encourage users to fill out their profile completely, add a photo, and use their real name when connecting with peers.
  • Contribute! Community is nothing without the people who bring it to life. If you have something to share, add your voice and expertise, and be sure to add points and connect with peers while you’re at it.

Please don’t:

  • Promote or solicit. No one likes spam or unsolicited promotion. Please avoid posting messages with the intent to sell a product or service, or to drive people to a form, website, or other promotional materials outside of the Highspot Spark Community.
  • Use foul language. The Highspot Spark community brings together professionals from across the globe, so maintaining professional, approachable, and informative language is a must for all users. Refrain from using language that is profane, offensive, derogatory, discriminatory, threatening, or defamatory.
  • Plagiarize. Do not post content or materials that have been copied and posted without the permission of the content owner.
  • Post personal information. Do not post material that is confidential to you or a third party or information that could be used to personally identify yourself or other users, such as emails, phone numbers, or addresses.

Connecting with Others

Connecting with other users using the “Connect” feature of the platform is a great way to build your network or follow others’ best practices. Please only connect with other members as a way to expand your network and get to know other practitioners. Refrain from harassing other users, spamming users with connection requests, or directly contacting users with the sole purpose of promoting a product or service. Be respectful of others’ privacy and do not share information that is confidential or could be used to identify other users.

Content Publication

The primary way that Highspot Spark Community users can contribute their expertise is through discussion forums.

Forums allow users to search for answers to an existing question, post a new question, or answer a question from another user. When searching for a question, please be sure to review questions with similar topics to make sure your question hasn’t already been answered before posting a new one. When someone answers your question, be sure to upvote or downvote their answer so that other users find the best answers to their questions as well. Answering another user’s question in a forum topic can be a great way to dig into more open-ended discussions, but be sure that discussions remain courteous, appropriate, and informative above all else.

Reporting and Removal Guidelines

Highspot reserves the right but does not have the obligation, to monitor the Community site. Highspot retains the right to decline to post any content or remove any previously posted user content in the Highspot Spark Community environment at our sole discretion.

As outlined in our Terms of Use, content posted by any user can only be removed by the user themself, or Highspot if the content is deemed to be in violation of these guidelines or the Terms of Use. If you have concerns about something that another user has posted, or another user from your organization has posted something that violates an internal company policy, please reach out to the Highspot Spark Community management team about removing the post.

Mention of Competitors

This Community is focused around Highspot’s customers, products, and services. As such, we encourage discussions to remain focused there as well. Our Team may remove posts that are not Highspot-focused.

Spark Community Points are one way in which Highspot endeavors to reward Spark Community members. Spark Community members are able to earn and accumulate “Points” that can be redeemed at the Spark Community Store. There are no participation or membership fees associated with Spark Community Points. Points accrued are promotional, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash. In addition, your redemption of Points cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts, unless otherwise expressly indicated by Highspot.

Your Spark Community Points are personal to you and may not be sold, transferred or assigned to, or shared with, family, friends, or others, or used by you for any commercial purpose. Without notice to you, Highspot reserves the right to suspend any Spark Community Points registered to your account and/or terminate your account if Highspot determines, in its sole discretion, that you have violated the Spark Community Guidelines, Terms of Use, or that the use of your Spark Community Points is unauthorized, deceptive, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful. In the event that your participation in the Spark Community and/or the Spark Community Points is terminated, all accrued Points in your account are immediately void.
